About the contest
This contest is open to companies and individuals based in India. Participants can submit projects located in any country, detailed with RebarCAD/CADS RC.
This contest is open to projects that have already been completed or are still in progress. The submitted projects will be presented to a jury and per category.
Projects may also be published in e-news letters and other marketing literature.
There is also a Special Academic Award for Students using RebarCAD/CADS RC. (see Point 9)
Participating in the contest
Taking part in the contest is free and accessible for all users of an officially registered version of RebarCAD
or CADS RC.
Commercial Categories
Each participant can submit one or more projects in each of the following categories:
Civil Residential Award
Civil Commercial Award
Industrial Award
Energy Award
Organisation of the Contest
The contest is organised by CADS India
The contest may be interrupted, postponed or cancelled owing to circumstances beyond our control. The participants waive any rights regarding complaints or claiming compensation with regard to this stipulation.
All ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 15TH JANUARY 2013.
AWARDS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON 15TH FEBRUARY 2013
AWARD PRESENTATIONS WILL TAKE PLACE ON 22ND FEBRUARY 2013
Conditions of Participation
Taking part in the contest is official when the "Registration Form" on the RebarCAD User Contest 2013 page on the CADS India website has been filled out, sent in and the participation has been confirmed. With this registration, contest rules are fully accepted by the registered company and individual. For clarity, registration by an individual of a company will be treated as registration by the company named in the registration form.
After registration, the participant receives confirmation of their entry in to the contest. Only complete projects are evaluated by the jury. Projects must be submitted in English.
As the entire handling of the project happens through the CADS India website, no documents will be exchanged by mail or any other media without mutual agreement in advance.
By taking part in this user contest, the customer grants permission to CADS India to use the submitted material for any kind of publication such as a User Contest Book, the websites of the organisers, newsletters, testimonials, brochures, or any other way. By participating, the competitor also certifies that there are no copyrights owned by any third party on the submitted material or has explicit permission by the owner of the materials.
Prizes, Jury and Evaluation of the Participating Commercial Projects
CADS India offers a prize in the form of a RebarCAD software licence and one year of CADScover maintenance to each of the category winners (1 jury prize per category).
An independent contest jury composed of professionals from various roles in construction, whether educational, industry leaders or users will gather in 2013 for the evaluation of the submitted projects. The judging will be done under the guidance of a dedicated CADS India representative, who is in charge of the contest. This person will see to the correct application of procedures.
The jury will judge the projects taking the following characteristics into account:
1. The technical level of the detailing and quality of drawing, layouts, labelling and titles
2. The originality and prestige of the project
3. The quality of the submission documents
4. The optimal use of the functionalities of RebarCAD/CADS RC
5. The proven time, labour, material and cost savings achieved bu using RebarCAD/CADS RC
The jury's decison is final and no associated correspondence or dialogue will be entered into. CADS India may amend prizes at any time and for any reason. No alternative or cash equivalent prize will be made available.
Confidentiality
All information presented in the entry files is deemed as in the public domain for the purposes of promotion and judging of the entries, however this will only be solely at the discrection of CADS India.
Presentation of Commercial Projects
The allowed submitted language for this contest is English.
Each submitted project needs to contain the following parts. More detailed information will be available while uploading your documentation.
1. Your Company Profile: Here you can add: history, company mission, vision and philosophy, key activities, target groups (who are your customers?), references, etc.
2. A Project Description: This can be an introduction to the project, the general description of the project, the importance of it, the approach of the various problems, the way RebarCAD/CADS RC has been used and the attained results. This text - besides publication on the CADS India website - may also be used for press communications, publication on affiliate websites etc. It must be of no less than 200 words.
4. The company logo in a high print quality.
5. Optional: any other files that could raise your chance of winning this contest, such as project images, movies, 3D PDF, presentations, etc...
8. Optional: Company pictures and / or Pictures of the contestant or group photo
Special Student Award
The winning student submisssion will be awarded a separate prize of a RebarCAD licence and one year of CADScover (one jury prize of one RebarCAD licence and one year of CADScover). A Student Award entry does not need to be based on a real project. Only the wiining and runner-up projects in the Student Award category will be publicised. Strictly one entry per student is permitted.
